What a Wonderful World!

By Kate Corbin

“You are here to experience outrageous joy. That is why you are here.” – Abraham-Hicks

Indeed it IS a wonderful world! But, full disclosure, it wasn’t always such a wonderful world for me.

Prior to embracing the Law of Attraction, I tried many things to feel good and enjoy my life – one of which was practicing Buddhism. The goal of my Buddhist practice was to attain absolute happiness. And even though I practiced sincerely, I still thought happiness for me was a long shot at best. I also held on to the belief that life is hard and suffering comes with the territory. And, of course, as I maintained those beliefs, I continued to create those circumstances. Because, as we now know, like attracts like.

Then I heard Abraham say “life is supposed to be fun” and everything shifted. Even though I had never heard those words before, my heart resonated deeply and profoundly with that message. When I heard Abraham say, “you can’t get it wrong” and “all is well” and “your natural state is Well-Being,” I jumped into the Law of Attraction with both feet. With those first few concepts, I began to release the shackles of suffering and started believing this might be a wonderful world after all.

This is how I described the shift early on: Having embraced the life-enhancing principles of the Law of Attraction, I find myself in an entirely new Universe – a Magical Universe where dreams really do come true, where Life itself is a pure joy and where, truly, All is Well.

Most of my friends didn’t get it and started telling me “you have your head in the sand” and “there are many truly awful things happening on this planet” and “you should join us in fighting against these bad things.”

While acknowledging there are indeed problems and lots of room for improvement, I know that focusing on problems actually creates more problems [again, like attracts like]. And I know that fighting against unwanted things disallows my natural state of Well-Being and weakens my connection with Source.

As I learned in Buddhism, the best thing I can do for myself AND the best thing I can do for others is to feel as good as I possibly can. From my high vibration, I have access to love and joy and empowerment, the very qualities that can bring about improvements and solutions.

If this wonderful world seems a bit far off to you right now, try playing with these “what-if” questions:

*What if everything really is unfolding perfectly?

*What if all is well – even when I can’t see that it is?

*What if my dreams really can come true?

So here’s my challenge to you. As you go out into the world today, look for proof that this is, in fact, quite a wonderful world. See how many positive aspects you can become aware of today. Then do the same thing tomorrow and the next day… until you see that the positive greatly surpasses the negative, that this world is skewed toward goodness, and that everything is rigged in your favor.

As your perspective shifts, you’ll begin to see the world as a place of joy rather than a place of suffering. You’ll realize that we live in a Universe of abundance, Well-Being, and unconditional love. And you’ll say to yourself, “What a wonderful world!”
